Welcome to RJ Harvey's job analysis & personality research site at Virginia Tech! Our Laboratory in Applied Measurement Psychology, or LAMP, conducts research on a range of psychometric topics facing applied psychologists. Our job analysis research has focused on the Common-Metric Questionnaire (CMQ), an inventory designed to collect accurate data to drive applications such as compensation, competency modeling, performance appraisal, disability determination, and ADA compliance.

Our personality and psychological assessment research projects have focused on topics ranging from the MBTI, "Big Five" inventories such as the IPIP, faking of personality tests, item-response theory (IRT), computer-adaptive testing (CAT), and the assessment of critical-thinking ability.
